Italy: Odds & Ends

Italy offers one of the richest oenological landscapes anywhere in the world. Quality has never been higher, while the number of regions and estates producing truly compelling wines makes it increasingly challenging to keep up with new releases. There is something for every palate in this short Odds & Ends update. A little Barolo, some northern Piedmont, a bit of Amarone, a dollop of Valtellina and a touch of Valle d'Aosta to get started. These reviews will most likely be folded into forthcoming profiles on their respective regions, but I wanted to get the notes into your hands now.
