2008 Domaine Jean-François Coche-Dury Meursault Les Rougeots

BY ANTONIO GALLONI | DECEMBER 05, 2022

The 2008 Meursault Les Rougeous from Coche-Dury is fabulous. Creamy and textured, the 2008 offers up scents of tangerine oil, mint, apricot, chamomile and tropical fruit. Time brings out more lifted, floral notes to complement the wine’s natural richness. I love the density and depth here. Best of all, the 2008 remains young and vibrant, with another decade of fine drinking ahead of it. While nothing from Coche-Dury qualifies as inexpensive these days, the Rougeots does offer tons of pedigree without the price tag of the very top wines. It’s a gorgeous wine that is in its sweet spot right now. 93/Drink 2022-2032.
